History of Mathematics Links

Although my field of study is technically anthropology, this is merely a disciplinary convenience. My current research (for which I hope and pray that I will some day receive a Ph.D.) is in the field of the history of mathematics. Specifically, I am conducting a cross-cultural comparison of written numeral systems as used throughout history. One day, I may have some useful and original contributions of my own to put on the Web. For now, I'll have to be satisfied with directing you to the many highly useful sites already in existence that contain material relevant to my area of specialty. And no, the pyramids were not built by aliens, and the world is not coming to an end at the end of the Maya calendar in 2012 ...
